drivers door quarter window

Post by yella_rangie »

does anyone know about how to adjust the drivers side quarter window on a 2 door? is there a bolt that comes up from underneath? i cant open the window without it falling out!!!! i think the bolt thing is pretty rusted so if i have to i would like to be able to remove the whole frame and weld something in there . can the frame be removed?

thanks in advance

You will need to remove the whole window frame, the 1/4 vent is held in position at the bottom with a long bolt with a spring and nut. these usually rust out and good ones are hard to find. You may be able to fab up a repair or make them fixed.

Look down either side of the door and you will see bolts that once removed, the whole frame will just lift out. you will need to remove the rubber seal from around the top of the door - do this carefully as they are easy to tear.
