fj40 with hilux disk brakes fitted
when to fit up tierod ends but the cruiser ones have a too small taper
what tierodend do u use ??
any help will be good as im pulling my hair out trying to get it sorted

yes u can fit it on but the left tierod end is desined to take a steering dampner and not a relay rod so the taper is around the wrong way..
so need to find a tierod end that is made for a relay rod to attach to.

what you need is the steering arms from a BJ43 HJ-FJ47 Cruiser ( have some of these arm sets on the shelf and are getting hard to get ) from about 1979 on as these have the correct bolt position for the later disc brake svivel housings. Alternatively you can get taper bushes to fit small 40 series tierod ends into the later arms ( have got some new ones on the shelf as i use them when doing conversions ) or fit a 75 series track rod but it still gives you the problem of connecting the drag link as the track rod has a larger taper.

got a crown p/s box so sill have to find a pitman arm and make a draglink
any idea of the pitman arm i would need?
other wise if i was in aussy i would see about the parts u have
