80 Series diffs under Bundera

Post by 80 nsw »

I am looking at putting 80 series diffs under a bundera. I have searched other posts but they give no specifics on the job.
1. Has anyone on this board done it. was it fairly straight foward, do you have pics.
2. Are the original control arms on the rear diff used or are new ones fabricated to suit and where were they attached to on the chassis
3. How far were the spring mounts moved on the front and rear diffs (inwards i assume).
4. What control arm was used on the front diff, was it the standard 80 or the bundera control arm.

Any other information that might be helpful to the task would be greatly appreciated.

haven't purchased yet, doing the deal on sat. It is an 85 model, only had a quick look over as i'm only really after the body and chassis, but i thought i saw a high pinion, does this make sense, did the earlier ones have a high pinion front?
