i will be getting a set of 2000 IFS dual cab springs during the week for cheap.
what should i do to get decent flex and around 2" of lift??
i have: standard shackles/ 4" extended ones/ standard rear pack from 90 s/c + will have the above IFS springs.
they are 3" longer right?? i was thinking i could remove a leaf (nfi which one), open the clamps and use my extended shackles, does this sound allright???
i am unsure what im am going to do about shocks yet, any cheaper options than $480 for a weld on kit and rancho's would be apprecieated.
p.s. on the front i have reset springs (2-2.5" over stock) + ome shocks, i realise it is difficult to get good flex from the front while maintaining driveability/steering on flex etc.. so i will just leave front for the moment, and TRY to get the rear workin ok.
thanks in advance fellas

Blair,
Im currently doing the same thing. To get the height i will be making up a set of shackles, and also mounting a new hanger on either side further down the chassis rail. Im doing this cos i have got the springs redrilled so that the hole is in the centre of the pack (nice tip ben!!), ie, more flex. This will also allow me (with a bit of rooting around) to get the diff to sit in the original position. My springs are off an LN106, and they are ~110mm longer than the ones i have in it now. If the ride height suffers after all this i will use some lift blocks (read: cut up overload springs!), to get it back to what it was. As for the front, the springs i have in it flex fuggin good at the moment (ask Surfection!), the only limiting thing being the shocks....

i was trying to avoid moving hangers/shackle mounts so can it be done like this????
i know people do with mazda's which i thought were the same lenght, 51" eye to eye, is this right???
ive got my front reset springs and shocks on, im happy with the flex they have atm, as the soften it will improve further, but my shocks will also limit flex.

yeh that $480 was a snake special, which was 2 rear 9-stage rancho's + weld on kit. saving of $20.
what would be ideal for a pov arse like me would be 2nd hand rancho's, perhaps if someone was upgrading to the longer ones.
GUTS could u give me info on the long travel OME, i think u said they were from buggyies or somethin.
