Well although I don’t think it will be feasible for me I am wondering what sort of wheel base is suitable for a 35 inch tire on a zook.
So a few questions to discuss would be the tire size people use and wheel base and how they find it.
Also would be good if we had some sort of formula to roughly work from just lift x width… tire by length.
The issue I had with 33’s and a approx 83â€

On my Drover (ute cut) the 32's are on with only extended shackels so im going to make up plates for the fixed spring mount to drop it and inch and move the front diff forward 1in or so and the rear back at least 2in. Whats a stock swb sierra's wheelbase?? will 3in help much or move them further??

Yeah sounds right, but I was only looking at stock, not with ruf... as ruf is something you do to extend your wheel base... so your wheel base is 94.5 and according to the formula the desired is 95.5.... I think you have got your rig pretty much spot on. I'm just trying to work out what wheel base is desirable for tire size. So Flaw two just shows that it works.grimbo wrote:1st Flaw: Flaw not floor

for 35's i would want over 96" wb but i wouldnt run 35's:P
im at 104 with the ute on 37's
and i have came real close to goin over backwards (have video and working on getting it up )
but dont think id go longer because of ramp over
chassis height would have a bit to do with it to

I'm at 92' with 35's, 22.5inchs to the chassis rail. I do feel that this is a little short, but that depends what your driving . I've nearly been over backward once aswell. Compared to a hilux on 35's that i drive with all the time his wheel base makes the steep climbs seem so much easier, but his rampover sucks. I've found that for really tight work in creeks and gullys that my wheel base is great. In some cases you can get the whole 4by down into a hole and drive it a lot easier than a longer wheelbase rig who ends up being a lot more crossed up and side angled than what the smaller wheelbase rig is. Also turning circle is better being shorter.
So my conclusion is simple. I'd like just a few more inch's if its too long it might just end up hurting.
