Got a lovely noise coming from the rear diff. Whines under acceleration at around 80kms+ and then eases when I back off the gas.
There is a little bit of oil seeping from around where the rear drive shaft bolts up to rear diff.
Is there a bearing and seal behind there, if so what is involved to replace??

maybe try changing the oil first, its not that expensive. but if the pinion is leaking, or any seal for that matter, you usually end up changing the seal in the end and the diff oil.
so maybe sooner than later.
and ummm, i'm not too sure about changine a pinion seal, havent had the need to do one before.
