guard chopping

im going to cut the guards on my patrol to fit bigger rubber. has any one got a run down on how they did it. i cut a little and once you cut the guard theres a hole where the body pannel meets the wheel well guard. how do people fill this hole up. i was just thinking of sikaflexing it all up

check the nissan forum there was a few of these done a few months ago

i got 3 inches out of mine used the inner gurad/ wheel arch bashed that up to meet the pannel i chopped and welded it up there


thou in the rear needs some sheet metal as i couldnt get enough out of the wheel arch

ive done the quater chop i just wanna trim the wheel arched back to allow some bigger rubber like 38 or 39

ok, give A1 a PM as he has opened up the rear of his rear wheel arch, coz he has moved his rear diff back a bit.

use a jigsaw ans steel cutting blades. use electrial tape as a guide/ protector. i welded some 50x3mm on the edge for something to bolt rubber to
