seatbelts 4 roadworthy

Post by Orange 47 ute »

My car is nearly complete and ready 2 register but the seatbelts are shagged. Due to the age of the car there are no good second handies around. Any fellow 40 series owners had 2 replace their seatbealts and if so where did they get them from? I was considering retrofitting 75 series ones an am wondering if they fit.

assuming you have already tried the wreckers, you might want to try a dedicated seatbelt manufacturer (yellow pages). There is a guy in sydney who did my belts for me but that probably doesnt help you very much being in queensland does it! The other alternative would be your local accessories shop where you could get race harnesses fitted. Retro fitting from a 75 series shouldnt be too difficult as long as the belt lengths are similar etc. It would probably be the cheaper option too.

Already tried sunshine state 4wd and no go. Had a look on rare spares website and they were 400 a set. So will try wreckers 4 celica ones and get my mate to try repco as he has an account there and gets a good discount there. thanx
