how much is involved in putting a vit autp or even 5spd behind a 1.3 sierra block ?

A fair bit .. for the additional labour etc ... I would just fit a 1.6 and be done with it ..
The top two bolts will fit but will need something to make the gearbox bolt holes smaller.
The lower two will actually be wider than the block on the 1.3 .. so some kind of adapter plate will be needed

forget the bolt holes!!! :shock:

have you tried to fit a vitara box into a sierra transmission tunnel? MUCH bigger.

I had to widen the tunnel by 2" to fit my vit box into the sierra. The shifter holes are out by miles aswell.

Can I ask why you want a vit box, but not the engine? :?

Think Hypos biulding somthing without a floor !! well sort of,

Would actually be a bit of a pian going the vit on 1.3 block , be hard to get the bolt holes sorted on the bellhousing , not that hard going the other way , mmmm

Hypo already has the 1.3 but needs a box/ transfer so he was guna get the vit box /not sure wat his plans were with the transfer ...............

but anyway if the swap /mod was easy enuf I think he wasa gunna run it for the time being until funds permitted changin the donk .....

His 1.3l is Jake Lawsons off the board ...........
