Materials for Body lift blocks

I have been considering doin a 2" body lift for some time now,

I am looking to you all for some help. I have the choice of 2 materials.
1. Aluminium
2. Polyurethane

I can get blocks made from both for nothing, but i am unsure on the best one to use. If anyone can help me out with the pro's and cons it would be greatly appreciated.

i had poly ones for about 3 years without problems.
whats the rules on them from an engineer ?

My body lift blocks are 75mm dia. HDPE (High Density Polyethylene). Got a meter of it from a plastics place for $60.

Very easy to work with. 75mm dia. went in no problems into the Mav'. Get good (High tensile bolts washers and nylocks, and you'll have no problems.

I have used both, the problem with aluminium is you have to use a rubber washer between the block and the body to stop electrolytic (sp?) rust. That rubber affords a little bit of movement, which on a car with a peice of shit tinnie body like a GQ is enough to start things cracking..
