i was having problems with box going into 1st and rev when stopped and it was notching when cold. i worked out that my pressure plate was dragging so the box was still turning over when the clutch is in. so i left till it warn out when i put a clutch kit in it then it 10 times nicer to drive hot and cold.
apparenty it is a big problem in GQ

This is kind of the problem Im guessing I could be having :?

My clutch was replaced not that long ago. Could that still be a problem I would have ? How can I tell and what can I do about it ?

Would this have anything to do with a 'whirring' noise I have when in neutral with my foot off the clutch? This noise disappears when I depress the clutch pedal.

the wirring noise sounds like it is internal in the box. did they replace the spingot bear when they did the clutch cos that can cause the same thing

The bearing was replaced when the clutch was done.
