45 series t/case q's
well my t/case has finally done the bolt so i was wondering if a 60 series would bolt up. or how hard would it g 2 convert the whole gearbox and t/case to 60? cheers drew
If you keep the gearbox, you'll have to change the output shaft on the gearbox as the 60 transfer requires a 19 spline and longer output.
If you fit a gearbox and transfer from a 60, there are three majour items that need to be done: you need a chassis crossmember from a 1981+ 40/45 series for gearbox support unless yours is of that vintage, you need to resize your driveshafts as the transfer outputs will be at a different location, and you need to cut a hole on the floor to accomodate the shifter location of the 60 gearbox.
