ute conversion

Post by lux kid »

this question is to all you nissan nuts that have cut ya shorties in to utes.
i got my shortie cheap cause the roof was allready cut off.
now i was goen to do the cop to a style side. but the C piller's and rear section are a good 20 mm shorter than just behind the B piller. so im thinken of goen the tray option and lopping the hole back off.
does any now if i can get a panel like the ones ive seen, that people use for daul cab conversions. or even what else i can use to close in the back for either style side or the tray option.
getting HALF CUT ready for mudbash 09.
hold on to your hats boys and girls.

Wreckers sell back walls from GU< GQ and MQ. Or you can get them new as well.

Yer wat BIG GQ said, a mate got a back wall for $1000. If you can do it your self, you will save heaps.

Just be careful if you are thinking of using some MQ roof as there's one less rib in MQ roof than GQ

What if you were chopping GQ shorty to a Tub back (Just behind the rear passenger footwell).. What would you use to create the ute back/glass ? I don't like the look of the angle when the C?? pillars are matched to the B?? Pillars - I want it to be straight up/down...

Would it have to be a custom back or could a MQ/GQ uterus back be butchered to fit.
