GQ Heater Fan Switch.

Post by Red_MAv »

My 4 position switch doesn't work on 1,2 or 3 only when on 4. Are there two switches or is it just one unit that's probably buggered. Any clues to a fix would be appreciated or even pointers to an aftermarket solution as the Nissan one is probably made of unobtanium.

Not 100% sure usually just run it on 1 but today it wasnt working and nothing happened until it got to 4. SO does that mean a new switch that has 4 settings that can be joined int othe circuitry somehow, or is it likely a whole new Nissan assembly is required.

Red Mav

If you remove the glove compartment (3 or 4 screws from memory) you will find the heater resistors screwed into a plastic housing. it has a couple of wires pluged in, unplug and remove the 2 screws holding it in place.
this is the part you need to replace, I think nissan charged me around the $40 mark. removiong and fitting takes no more than 15 mins, a very simple fix.
hope this helps you

Awesome, I am off to Nissan this morning to see if they have one, thanks for the tip on the location I would have removed the centre dash console first otherwise.
