I'm taking the V6 zook appart, and I want to rebuild it onto a chassis that can be mod plated for the 3.8l crumbydoor motor.
I was thinking about using a surf chassis, and doing SAS with my Hi pinion front Bundera diff. The surf is already coil sprung, and I will use standard 80 series trailing arms and make a 5 link front, and then use the rangie a frame on the rear....
Then swap the zook body onto the new chassis....
Flame me

Heretic!
But seriouly isnt all that chassis, motor and diffs really just a toyota build up disguised by a suzuki tub?
You'd suceed in making a lighter rangie/toyo not a heavier zook (offsetting the power too)
Anyway you still have my support if our going to do it
(providing obcourse i get all the oem zook bits left over )

Unless I am missing something, Looks like the obvious and cheapest choice is to run a rangie chassis. would be similar to Dozoor's build. You are running rangie a frame anyway, and much less work under the front end if you did want to run a five link, coil mount's panhard mount etc existing, probably even easier to mod plate.

I agree on this - run a set of GQ diffs at the same time so ratios and lockers are easystephen wrote:Unless I am missing something, Looks like the obvious and cheapest choice is to run a rangie chassis. would be similar to Dozoor's build.
