Easy tiger... you Qld boys crack me up...

Why don't you call round 3 'Penaltimate'

Go ahead - get out your dictionary again spelling bee boy...

;) ;)

This is the dictionary entry I was more thinking of:
Final (syn: last)
1: the final match between the winners of all previous matches in an elimination tournament

Disclaimer: by the way, remember that I am a born and bred Queenslander, so taking the piss out of Qlders is my god given right... and don't forget what this means ( ;) ;) ) before the flaming begins...[/i]

Good on you, Sam, for putting in the hard yards to get the event going

Far too many comps happen in NSW and its good to see a Queenslander unapologetic about being a Queenslander.

The more big comps like this one, the better.

Can't wait to see it all in action.

Is the MOG-ROVER competing?

Yes, normal weekend in regards to wheeling.

So you can watch the Comp and then go for a play afterwards!

So you are whinging about other people bitching and whinging about real issues in the sport - and this is going to stop you competing?

When an event that was planned to be run in Vic doesent happen and it gets run in Qld it is easy to understand why people get pissed.

Why your complaining i have no idea.

Then don't read it, if you want to compete then just turn up. Don't read anything on here and that way it won't effect you. :!:

Tracy Jordan is the Top USA Pro Driver and rarely ever gets on pirate, i am not sure but i think part of the reason he does that is so he doesn't get caught up in all the little issues.

For me i love competing and i also love seeing the sport progress, look where it has come over the last year or so, and most of that would be from people talking, taking an interest and argueing over topics which do effect the growth of Rockcrawling in Australia.

I am sure you have been on this site long enough to know when someone knows what they are on about and when someone is stirring the pot.

Like i said Ben, you don't have to read all the posts. If you want to compete then just read the first post so you know the details of the event then you can turn up and go your hardest. Have fun at the event then pack your gear up and drive home. Simple isn't it.

Anyway WEROCK doesn't have any issues, Rules are set, venues are organised and they even have a three year plan, all the discussions on here are just that DISCUSSION's they don't meen anything as everything is now inplace, its just a bit of fun and maybe even some of us are stirring the pot just to stir people up or get them keen to try and beat some of these buggy's.

I still have fun when i compete, i read the things on here and i even reply and express my thoughts :D , but trust me i don't get tied down by it. Pretty well as soon as i read someones reply and have a laugh i pretty well forget about it, and the same goes for when i am competeing, any issues that are discussed prior to the event (or even between stages) i am over it by the time my arse hits the seat.

If everyone in the world agreed with one another it would be a very stale and boring world. :)

isnt this exactly wat im doing expressing my thoughts

dont flame me just coz i dont agree to every thing that is said here, im just putting my point accross that i dont understand wat all the carry on is about, it spoils it :!: :!:

i read all the bitching and whinging that goes on hear and even at the event wen u talk to the different crowds, they r all bitching and whinging about how the event is this and how the event is that, if u dont like it dont do it its not that hard is it ??

even competitors, i have spoken to at certain events, all whigne about how the coarses r setup 4 certain vehicles and crap its just crap.

so u cant ignore that fact im just pointing it out and as it seems that coz its not a good point that i get nailed for it.....

pffft makes no sence to me :!: :!: :!:

Ben , i can't see where i "Flammed you" for your comments. I was just adressing them as i would if you were here in the same room as i.

Tthere is really nothing anyone can do about people winging or having a go at someone. Its human nature for people to disagree. You may have heard people winging about stages or winging about other people but how many people commented to you that they enjoyed the stages.

All i am saying is that you have to expect it and if you can't handle it then don't read it OR don't listen to it.

If a competitor says to me that a Stage sucks i usually look and see that they had a bad run on that stage, of course to them that stage sucked. I bet my left nut that if they won that stage they wouldn't be complaining would they. Its also the case when someone is winging about another competitor, it is most likly that that person just had an awesome run and the person your talking to had a shocker and wants to vent his poor driving ability against someone that just did well. Again thats human nature. I know who the Good competitors are, they may not have the best rig or the biggest Wallet or be the most popular, they are however the ones who shake you hand and congratulate you on a great run or assist you to get you rig ready for the next stage or offers advice on a particular obstacle, these are the competitors and people i allow time for. They to me are genuine people and can take the good with the bad.

Yes sometimes people just want to get something of there chest, everyone does that from time to time.

I also know that the people in the crowd knocking or bagging a Driver or the event is also the person who has never competed or if they have could not hack it due to their poor attitude. There was a Drunk at round 2 that was hanging sh!t on me, now i could have taken it the wrong way and get all worked up about it and let it effect my driving, i didn't. I gave him a mouth full and advised him that he could not even walk the stages letalone drive them because he was a washed up drunk. Harsh maybe, but i also stood there and talked to a family for 25 minutes about the rules of WEROCK and my rig, nice people that i had time for.

I walk threw the crowd at all events i go to and listen and talk to people that i don't even know, most of them are wrapped up in the event and love whats going on. If someone wants to have a winge i listen to what they have to say, if it is a legit complaint then i will adress it with them and hopefully get something sorted. If they are just babling sh!t and don't have anything to support there winge or gripe then i let it be, walk away and find someone i can have a educated discussion with. It all comes down to choices.

You also need to make up your own mind about poeple and events, i can usually work someone out within the first conversation with them whether or not i believe what they say and whether or not they are a genuine person. To date i have not gotten it to wrong. Don't let someone else sway your thoughts or your impressions of someone (or something) that you already know.

Remember there is a difference between a Winge and an educate argument.

What i am trying to say here is that its Human nature for people to do this, its up to you whether or not you can RAISE yourself above there cr@p or stoop to there level and let it effect you.
