You'll see, you'll all see it will be cool. I'll have more bling than Damo, more sand in the diff than love-mud, more problems than big steve, more chance of getting it working than Antt, a longer wheelbase than Sam
Or another 6 months gathering dust
I thought this was worth a giggle as well,
6 months, Pfftt

Cable bracing is the way of the future!

ha ha ha its only 25 months since I got the defect
hey dude i dont know if i have the right person, are you the guy who put a 1500 yota engine in your zook, if so how difficult was it any info would be great if not do you happen to know who it was who did
thanks
yes it was mine that had the 1500 in it. It was a pretty simple conversion. No structural work is needed other than a modified bracket on to one engine mount. I was also using a toyota 5 speed g/box that required a custom jackshaft between g/box and t/case. The t/case does move slightly I think which meant I needed a different rear drive shaft (I think).
You will also need to ditch the normal fan and run a thermo fan in front of the radiator.
If you need an engine and g/box mine are for sale as I went back to Sierra stuff.
Well it needs something new to keep it interesting. With the wide track diffs and the massively offset rims its very stable but a bugger to drive, scrub radius is thru the roof and the tyres tend to foul on the body.
So I should be getting some bling new alloys next week (fingers crossed). The joys of bartering
Now I just need to find a VicRoads inspection site that is close to home or work that isn't booked out for the next month or so
Yeah tell me about the scrub radius! with the offset 8" rims and 12.5" tires I had to bash the hell out of the firewall. And it still rubbed. So I just made sure it was smoothed so it didn't cut the tires... cheap traction control
I hope these are the same as those purty alloy's that greg his boggers on.
Have you got P/S?

I'm not sure what alloys they are in the end it came down to what was in stock more than what I ideally wanted.
No power steering but now that christover is the power steering conversion king I might go that way down the track. I just want to get it back on the road
I'm probably going to drive it to tonight's meeting It may even have the Swampers on Alloys on but more than likely it will have the crappy 31s on even crappier yellow rims
I call BS!!
and I will continue to do so untill I can reach out and touch the car myself, (pics are no good, Graham is a dab hand at photoshop)
I may just go to tonignts meeting just for the specticle (I love a brass band )
Peter.
