Detachable Mudflaps
Hi.
I am planning on doing a rear quarter panel chop in the next month or so and afterwards I will need mudflaps. I want to put detachable ones on so they dont get ripped off.
The question is:
How exactly have people attached them to make them quickly detached?
I was thinking something along the lines of a piano hinge with a removable pin.
Or maybe bolts with wing nuts.
Ideas?

Yeah I will have a chain aswell, but I don't want to just pull them up out of the way. I want to take them off completely.Tiny wrote:attach a chain on them so you can just lock them in out of the way....I just use a small ubolt on some light gauge gal chain from bunnings

Bad idea, cop's will pull it as unroadworthy.Mick G wrote:Mine ripped off at the weekend when playing and are stying off!!
Besides, it is more than passingly rude to toss mud and gravel back at other traffic on the highway when you've finished playing for the day.
