i'm with AAMI, with 2" lift. Only 3rd party though, but i dont think they have nething against 4b's... if u want like comprehensive and/or offroad insurance i'd go with a broker, let them worry about it and chances are you'll save $$ too. My friend has a GQ, has comprehensive ins + offroad ins and pays very close to what i pay for just 3rd party

Just Car, very competitive, and cover all LEGEL ROAD WORTHY MODS ie Engineers Cert on applicable mods

I pay just over $1000 for the gq with 6" 35s cage etc etc

when i asked just cars, before they would insure me they needed to inspect the 4wd to make sure its free from damage, that was even for 3rd party property, i told em its a 4b and its got dings in it they said they wont touch it until i get all the dings fixed......
kind shit for a 4wd

i'm with GIO for third party

they don't require inspection and you have the option of pay by the month.

my car i quite modified and they had no problems with it as long as it met road worthy requirements. they were the cheapest i could find as well.

cheers joel

insurance

I go through Shannons insurance. They are the only ones that would cover my rig with the body modifications i have.(ute conversion) They also give me cover for my missus to drive and she is under 25 years and had 2 accidents. I found them to be the best. AAmi and others would not cover body mods. Just cars said no as well.

I'm insured with DGA 4wd insurance :D . Full offroad insurance, all accessories and mod's (aslong as it's legal), $2000 camping accessories, agreed value, blah blah blah. For a $35,000 car I pay $850 a year for full comp for myself & my girlfriend ;) .

Just for cars has an extra excess of $400 if accident occurs off-road, -meaning the road/track has to be mapped/named. Not sure if excess applies to other insurers.
I pay $780 for agreed $23,000 including all extra's.

just cars agree'd that if the road was on my mates handheld GPS I'd be covered. He brings it up all too often when we're out wheeling now.
