Adjustable trailing arms

Post by shakes »

has anyone out there modified the std nissan GQ uppers and lowers. I know there weak as piss but I'm also not really cashed up (I really chose the wrong hobby hey?)

was chatting with a mate and the idea come up to chop the standard arms run 16mm? all thread down the centre a welded nut on one end and lock nuts down the other. Then to try get a lil strength back run some small gussets along the arms.

is this gunna be a waste of an afternoon and a set of arms or will it stop my vibrations for a few months till the bank balance is looking a bit better?

if you were gonna do something like that you'd wanna make sure your pretty handy with a welder and that you use the correct strength steel and stuff cause if that breaks while on the road your in big trouble

I have made some up myself in the past but if you decide not to go for the bodge job I will sell you some new adjustable upper trailing arms for $280 for the pair. Free freight.
The adjustable lower ones are $380 for the pair but you only need uppers or lowers not both to correct your pinion angle.
