MQ front end noise

Post by lyall »

Hey Guys

When in 4hi and doing over 35km/h and i back off the accelerator the car makes a fairly bad noise from the front and or tranfer case area which is hard to discribe. But if i apply the brakes the noise goes.

Any ideas?

Thanks

mate,

if it doesnt do it at all when you back off in Hi 2....

then its the front drive shaft slide on the spline...

mate grease it up until it doesnt move...

see if it still does it as bad...

basically it needs new seals etc on the shaft spline, or a new shaft thats not sloppy.
