Factory Sahara electric Diff Locks and housings?
Moderators: toaddog, Elmo, DUDELUX
If they are set up for coil springs and have electric lockers, they are from an 80 series. If they are set up for leafs and have cable lockers, they are from a 60 series. If a Landcruiser diff has a factory locker, the rear must be a full floater (some 4Runners have an electric locker on a semi floater rear).
I've read here how some 80 series drivers have upgraded to Nissan front diffs because of the weak crown and pinion gears in the 80, so obviously to them changing Nissan diffs to 80 series diffs is not an upgrade. I believe the crown and pinion is plenty strong in the 60 though. Just my opinion.
