hey i recommend jungle trekers. a mates got claws they are no good on wet side slopes where my jt2 went easily

i have always run claws and never had a side slope problem, this has been confirmed by ryano at fourby's who says that its just anti claw mouthing off doing the cycles. he sells both too.
one question did anyone notice that in the 2005 obc dvd it seemed 95% of the flats were simex, is this just filming bias, more people running simex or just a deliberate point???? or do they punture more easily than the other brands like krawlers etc. i am not trying to prove a point just asking a question

Most of the guys in winch challenges run Simex. Whether it be OBC or XWC, I think they handle the fast stuff better or something.

i run jungle trekker 2's LOVE THEM, pitty they dont come in a bigger size
hold the bead at low PSI, great traction, pretty tought side wall (unless some one drill's texscrew into them:bad-words:) great in mud, better every were else. i dont like mud

IMO ETs are better for me anyway as they are ofer a good open tread patern fo flex on the outside as well as efficient self cleaning and small closed tpe tread in the centre for good gip on the rock. I ran the ETsat wilowglen for the first time and was extremely impressed with there performance.
heving seen the ETs v bias claws in the high country, I would honestly say go for the pedes anyday.

Simex are very good around all of the Melbourne tracks. The only place I felt let down was with their performance on the rocks.
I have had all of the simexs and loved them all.
The 36's seemed like the best allrounders and were actually the quietest onroad.
Loved the 34" JT2's but wish they went bigger.
35" ET's were very good on all terrain and mud. Loved the mud.
If it helps I have retired my jeep from road duties and the next set of tyres I get will be either 35" radial claws or TSL's/Q78's or Iroks.
But I like finding rock to play on

I am so glad this came up as i have been weighing up the exact same thing claws or simex JT2's to buy my self for chrissy
with the JT2 am i better off with a 15 or 16 as i will be getting rims as well
will there be much difference in offroad performance when running aired down as the simexes i have seen have had real stong side walls and did not compress to much.
I should say i am looking at the 34's in the JT2s and 35 in the claw
