Don't know the GPS coords, but I think it's 60km north of the Windsor bridge on Putty Rd. Usually plenty of signs, so it's hard to miss it.

For Miss Wendy:

Any news on when we can expect the team passes to be received?

(I've emailed you tonight, but thought there may be others wondering the same)

Yeah with only a week and a half to go !
Most of the competitors dont live next door to their team managers and need time to get them :?

Miss Wendy wrote:FAQ...Do you get another car in on your cometitors pass?

7 x Gate Passes – We work on the basis of there being one pass for each competing vehicle including the reserve, plus one pass each for the Team Manager and a Support Vehicle (eg team mechanic). However, who you give the passes to is entirely at your discretion. It should be noted that if a pass is not produced (for whatever reason) at the entry gate, normal entry fees will apply. If a pass is forgotten, the person should ask for a receipt and a refund will be provided at the gate during the weekend when the pass is produced. No refunds will be given after the conclusion of the Trials weekend.
If a competitor wishes his/her family to travel in the family car (instead of the competition vehicle,
that family vehicle will be admitted on the pass only if it accompanies the competition vehicle
through the gate. If not, normal charges will apply to the vehicle that does not have the pass.

This does not mean you get a car load of mates in 'cause the missus isn't comin' It is because sometimes the comp car is not set up to carry the family. But they must come in together.

Wendy
Remember, the driver of the competition car and the driver of the "family bus" count together as the 2 adults, so any extra adults cost $20.00 ea.

Oh, and we'll be checking under bkankets of any cars carrying QLD plates!

C U all Up there

You are correct Miss Noob,
$50 for probably the more interesting of the two days entertainment.
Maybe you can find some new friends at the Trials.

Well, the entry pass idea is going to cause alot of problems, for starters, I am navigating but cannot get the day off work to travel up together, so this means I cannot get in!?! Unless I pay a spectators fee, even though I am not a spectator, the driver can't even come out to meet, greet and enter, it has to be together once only and that is it? What happens when a driver breaks something and he or the navi needs to travel off the grounds to retrieve a part? Do they then pay another fee?

Since like most normal people I have responsibilities to my job I cannot get friday off to enter nice and early, the driver will have to be there early to get the truck organised. How are we supposed to be able to effectively organise under these circumstances? Hopefully things will be as inconsistent as they were last year and I can get in. Any suggestions as to how we can get around this as driver will be there at 12pm and I will be there at 6pm ! ? :?

with the problem of the passes and arriving different times,

the rules have obviously been set out like that for a reason, i dont really see a problem, as the driver will just have to wait behind for his navigator, theres really not much he can do except unload the truck, its not like he can have ther rig varified or what not, the only thing he can do is unload it and set up camp, theres not much we can do about the rules,

miss ferog, easy to fix make your driver-biatch wait at the gate for 6hrs, good publicity for his truck heheh.
or .... arrange for someone else to use his pass at 12, and that should almost offset for you entering later? fix up the $$$

Jeff, the way you talk, leave your pass with Em, then go to the gate and wait there from 12, say you will be there till 6ish when your navi get there and start talking.......give it 15min and you wil be in

The rules have been set up like that to get money, I'm sure if it was you who was having to wait for 6-7 hours to get your navi in you would have a problem with it. And no he can't unload it and set up camp cause once he's through the gate he can't come back out to get her, would you like him to setup camp in the middle of the Putty road ?
Since Emma is in your team shouldn't this mean the team manager [your mum] gets involved and trys to sort out some sort of comprimise.... :?

Is anyone using "the support vehicle" pass? This is in effect a spare ticket. Who has that been given to? Are you better deserving in your circumstance?
