On trees revenge you were only allowed to back and fill once b4 the hole & once after the hole. You could back & fill as many times as you like in the same area, but once you moved forward again you could not stop to back & fill again.

thanks to the Nissan Patrol Club for another great comp

you could see the amount of work and thought gone into each track, which were a huge improvement on last years, it keeps getting better every year.

I agree with the line issues as it gets a bit chaotic trying to find where to line up on your next event.

It was a bit dissapointing watching back on the video footage and seeing so many in inconsistencies on scoring between different vehicles, but this would be very hard to keep consistent with so many different people volunteering there time as officals on such a big competition.

I heard a suggestion on the weekend which I thought was a good idea , Could each club do the same event together ie ; first five clubs track 1 first, next five track 2 . This way we could see out team mates drive

PLUS it encourages more of a team effort and the team specific spectators aren't farting about between tracks not seeing their team run.

Why some did not get this, I don't know. I clearly explained that there are two (2 ) back and fills. One on this side (left) and one out of the hole on the other side. A back and fill is a 'shuffle on the spot', a half a car forward, a half a car back twelve times if you like to get your vehicle pointing where you want it to. You had the opportuntity to use on it at the top corner just out of the hole, or as far down as the log itself but in that same six feet of ground not at the top and then again at the half way point or again down at the log, one (1) on each side !!
A three point turn is just that- turn in, reverse, then drive off.
I personally walked with all but the first 5 or 6 vehicles thru the event and know I did as fair a job as I could. You guy also need to read your track notes. When I asked several where they were, they replied 'oh there back in the tent' or dunno, I had a quick look but didn't read them...( Wendy now screams.... ARRRR!!!!)

I kinda like the idea and we'll look at it. It could reduce queue jumping issues, having competitors leave their vehicles (which is against the rules anyway!)

I had trouble with some unattended competitors vehicles late on Sunday (You try manouvering that coke trailer between rigs on a muddy track)

The suggestedsolution could work - you have your 4 cars together and 1 designated sucker sits with them with the keys to move if required and guard against the evil hub unlockers

As I said, we'll consider.

We would appreciate it if you could send any suggestions for improving things like waiting times etc to trialssec@nissanpatrolclub.org ASAP, so we can make a note of these before anyone forgets.

I was navi for the first place modified, and I think the reason behind this is to spread the prizes more.
ie so you don't take the class win and prize and overall win and prize.

thus we actually came second in modified, but got the 1st place trophy and prizes, and guy holt won overall.

same would have happened to redzook, or athol, if they had have had the most overall points after adjustment.

but it was an awesome weekend, waiting was a pain, and putting the hilux on its side was a bit anoying. esp that it took a fair while to get it on its wheels, causing a pretty good hydraulic and extensive clean up. of motor.

but hey I have a trophy.

enjoy ashley[/quote]

I think anyone that pulled top 3 done excellent .especially those in mod
that were up against 50-60 4bs..

I loved it..i Finally broke at event 3..My 1st break in competition :D I was the only one happy in my team.

bad things were the lines and how some drivers are willing to move other 4bs up and others would rather drive around competitors 4bs.You cant be there 24/7.we have to eat. most of the time it worked.i had RB and red bitch behind me and most of the time someone was there.

Good things..It finished earlier than last year :D .Tracks were great/better than last year(or i finally learnt how to drive).
I would like to see all club competitors go on the same track one after the other so we can support them.i asked this 2 years ago and the response was it would be unfair on some teams due to track conditions..i say so what.it all evens out in the end.
