it wasnt the logic of the question that is beyond me. he never said he wanted it engineered, it may be a trailor only rig. he was asking for comments on the suspension components and thats it.bogged wrote:sorry if the logic of the question is beyond you.mickyd555 wrote:probably for the same reson you replied...... for no reason at all....![]()
sorry for the crap that has been posted here........

you obviously still dont understand the logic behind the question.. Why does he need a 6in lift... quite simple really..mickyd555 wrote:it wasnt the logic of the question that is beyond me. he never said he wanted it engineered, it may be a trailor only rig. he was asking for comments on the suspension components and thats it.

Also he didnt say it was a trailer queen, and he like 100's of others may not have considered the legal points of it.

I'm behind bogged on this one.
The reasons behind wanting it are prolly valid to the owner, but this reason is not valid enough for DOT to change the rules to allow this sort of mod, because, basically, you don't need 35's and a huge lift to drive to work, down to the shops etc on the road. You may need these mods for the bush - fair enough, but DOT are not interested in your requirements for the bush, only what is necessary for the road.
Many people honestly and quite innocently do not realise that this sort of height is not legal (hey, I don't care either way), just so long as they are aware of this - even better if the suppplier of the kit notifies or informs the customer of this, not out of legal requirement, but more so out of responsibility and customer care.
Installation of any suspension kit is relatively straightforward - a quick search or a troll through the bibles should reveal many helpful tips.

Built, not bought.
It's nothing you can't get from any other 4x4 store, Dobinson sprigs, procomp/tough dog shocks and fit it up, but you need to beaware DOT in QLD will take it off the road for your!!!!
He states "Suitable for Comps only" when he sells them
