TSL Tyre Grooving designs help

As it says im running 38 x 12.5 x 15 on a cut up zuk at 2 to 4 psi on beadlocked rims but want to groove them for more flex and better grip have seen only 2 designs so far has anyone done it to their tyres what was the design and your thoughts on how well it worked thanks

I like this design, nice and simple. Might do it to my brand spanker 36" TSLs.
I think you will get bad chuncking if you go too crazy.
Do you have a groover? Caus I do :finger:

I used a stanley knife to Sipe my Krawlers :D Took me 42 min to do all 4 still on the car. I put 3-4 10mm deap cuts in ever lug :armsup:

Would cost me the same in petrol for the Q to get to manjimup and back with a trailer as it would to get the guy who is doing my tyre repair to do it .Just on that Joes Tyre repair in Bayswater is doing the repair fully vulcinised for $45 cant beat that he wants $25 a tyre to groove them any pattern you want.Was thinking of going dodge and using a grinder as i dont no anyone with a groover or anywhere i could borrow or higher one from thats close by thanks for the offer Paul

$45 thats good, its even better that he could fix it cos it was a big cut. The tube for the temp repair cost u close to that didnt it ?

having a tyre siped and running low presure it tyre actually opens up where it has been cut giving it more flex and more grip and contact to the terrain, wear as groving the lugs makes for just extra contacting edges

anyway thats what i have always believed... :armsup:

i heard that siping(sp) tyres makes them wear slower? is this true? and any legality issues with runing em onroad?

id love to tell ya, but i only read about siping with rc crawlers and for the little rc crawler i got the tyres will take ages to ware.

just siped (small slits) to the center lugs

cuts through like butter i started with a new blade and it was still new when i finished

shit gets everywhere tho :lol:

Did it used s 4 1/2 grinder was easy just a bit smokey and dirty but went ok and cost me nothing I just grooved from the center lugs out so each of the center lugs is now 3 pieces will post a picture went down to the depth of the wear bars and a grinding discs width about 6mm will let you no how they are

Going to Brunswick with people this wekend for a more family outing ie more booze than driving but will do a fue hills was just thinking might come down earlier than i just pmed you and bring the zuk for a run on the rocks seen as they should be dry do you mind

Cant seem to post a pic of how i cut them but it was from the center of each tread block out in an arrow shape so each tread block is now 3 pieces not 1 they worked heaps better as they flex much more now cant wait to try them on some rocks
