I have a GQ SWB that likes to collect water. When it rains heavily water often drips on your feet, drivers side and passenger. I little never bothered me until i heard water sloshing around when i braked. I thought it must have been a water container that i had in the car. But when i heard it and there were no water containers i was worried. Some of the water ended up in the sill under the drivers door. The carpet was wet along it and there was a slow leak under it outside the car. Looking outside along the sill I found small drain holes that were full of mud and after clearing about a litre of water came out.
Where are the main problems with water leaks when it comes to GQs?

there is a drain in the windscreen rubber on outside that directs water dwon into the grill bit infront of screen.. It gets blocked, and water comes in down firewall.
sounds like a windscreen rubber or blocked drain hole Water hose and an assistant are the time honoured methods of investigation. Hey fella now you know what like it is drivin a Rover . Only thing is it finds it `s way out of Rover as quick as it gets in.
Alex
The drains are an inch or 3 in from the sides on the bottom.
there is actually a small hose on some (1/4cm - 1/2cm diameter), but if screen has ever been replaced, you can bet its gone. They direct the water down into the grill bit infront of screen
Also if the screen has been resealed with silastic it will probably be blocked.
I'll see if I can get a photo later when I get home.
Having same problem with mine .
Farkin givin me the shits new screen silastic all the way around both sides of seal pipes to drain seem clear but mine is just the pass side.
Thinkin may take front carpet out and get a spray on rubber coating drill a few holes and bung them then if it comes in just unplug.
Anyone know a good sray on polyurethane like rhino lining etc but that you can do yourself?
Cheers Dave
I didn't know mine did it... Until I decided to yank carpets out not only was there surface rust on the floor but the carpets were rotten and stinky ...
...Still haven't done anything about it though.....

Mine did the same.... leaked at the bottom of the screen in both corners.... bought non-geniune rubber from windscreens obrien, some non setting silastic and no leaking since

How much did they hit you up for the new rubber, would Sikaflex be ok to use instead to seal the screen.
Cheers.....Steve
Never argue with an idiot, as others listerning may not be able to tell the difference.

Did you take the screen right out to fix it?
I have sealed between the rubber and body all the way around but maybe i need to seal between the rubber and glass also.
