GQ Hub Seals?

Post by CJ Burns Esq »

Ok, I have my new hub seals, the ones that fit into the disc brake rotor on the diff side of the rotor.
Question is which way round do they go in?

The seals have an "L" profile metal bit in them. Does the base of the "L" go into the rotor?
Yeah I know, "Put 'em in the same as the old ones". Trouble is I don't trust that the last lot were put in correctly and I'd rather ask the question and get it right, rather than find out the last guy did it wrong.
cheers,
CJ

hi, there is a double lip side to the seal. this needs to be sealing against the stub. the other side as shown should be tapped into the rotor hub..

(the top picture is the double lip)
hope this helps..
cheers

I note the presence of Rubber grease as well (the pink stuff) Is that recommended? or just go for High Temp Bearing (HTB) grease all over it?

if its a new seal it should already be pre lubed but HTB or rubber grease will do the trick. good luck
