WILD ROCK NSW 23rd July 2006 (note new date)

Post by Tiny »

Please see www.wildrock.info for further information, will be one day event at SORRA on the putty rd Colo

Wild Rock is being set up and run by Oz Rock and Maitland Districts 4wd Clubs. with plenty of big names involved including 2 TTC winners......take a geuss

Wild rock will be held over one day with 2 classes of vehicles. there will be several stages and teams of 2 running each stage. There will be a time out, and breaking bunting will incer a time out, but self recovery, back and fills etc will only incure penalties. Should you time out or fail to proceed on any stage you will be permitted to proceed to the next stage.

All clubs can register interest by visiting the web site or emailing wildrock@wildrock.info we are allowing 50 teams of 2 at this stage and allready have interest from over 25 teams

We will update OL as more info become available

EDIT:- please not the new date, due to Mothers day being on the previous date

Please forward expresions of interest to wildrock@wildrock.info ALL Affiliated clubs with a current insurence policy Aus wide are welcome.

If you have paid to attend the old date and due to other committments are unable to attend please ask your club secretary to email or mail a request for a refund on the entry fees

we tried to get an unregistered class going, but the costs were to high at this stage.....we still hope to get this class going in the future though.

sorry guys, we have being busy and have not got the entry forms out as yet, however we have being working on the event and have now designed the course

We have tried to incorperate some of the obsticles we love and hate to do like wombat holes within a stage and that should prove to be fun, but the big rock in the area has led us to incorperate some massive rock climbs and decents that will definatly get your heart pumping

At this point in time stage 1 will have no winch points, but 2 3 and 4 will have winch points that we think most will need. As such we suggest that having a winch fitted would be adventagous, however as self recovery between vehicles is allowed, a teams with one winch between them may be successfull.

Entry forms will be out very soon, and we will confirm vehicle classes and safety requirements then. Final rules will be put on the website when approved and we will email all teams to let them know.

Cheers

Tiny

Just Crusin' have just advised that they are unable to co-host the WildRock with the Oz Rock Crawlers.

Thankyou Tiny for your help to date.

Another club has expressed an interest in co-hosting but needs to vote on it at their general meeting. We should have an answer very shortly.

Enrty Forms

Post by Why_I_4B »

The entry forms are complete but we are waiting till we have a major sponsor before we released it. Currently we have not secured a major sponsor for the naming right to the event. Sponsorship is necessary as we need to hire a large excavator for a weekend to setup the course.

Many clubs have expressed an interest in competing and competitors entry forms and packs will be sent to you once we have a major sponsor.

If you need more information or wish to contact me check out www.wildrock.info
