Hammer-Hummer Replica

Post by bambam »

Hey Guys, has anyone had anything to do with the Rhino Buggies Hammer sold in QLD, they're the Hummer replicas that bolt onto a LWB Patrol chassis. I'd appreciate any good or bad feedback, ie do they crack when 4x4ing, do they really bolt up nice or are they a pain in the freckle to fit? Resale? Do they leak in the cabin etc?
Thanks:armsup:

Paul and the crew do a very good job on these kits. I have been down there on a number of occassions and they are very particular and professional in what they do. I have no doubt in my mind that if there were to be a problem, Paul would endeavour to correct it to the best of his abilities.

It has a good sound to it, doesn't it!! :D
Much better sounding than "Barkodes Bling Buggy". :finger: ;) Since you are now spending most of your nights awake.... is the buggy going to be ready sooner?? :D

I like the Blizzards.... 16/38.5-15 Bias Claws with a standard 2&2 lift.
I like it.

The black looks heaps better..... and the pics don't really do it justice. To stand next to them they look a lot better and a lot less boxy. There is a lot of angles and styling that doesn't show in the pictures. The top half (bottom of window up) is actually styled off the Ferrari.

it would look awesome with the body lowered down onto the chassis properly.

EDIT: piss that stupid wing off the roof too.

I agree no need for a body lift.

So if it is a nissan are those tyers legal in QLD?

The white one in the pic above isn't completed. It is minus motor and inner guard flaps etc. Here is a pic of the black one that gives it a bit more justice.....and I agree, the wing isn't my thing either.

the front guard looks like it could do with some opening up to match the back as well as letting the tyre sit in the middle of it. Or you could move the front axle forward maybe

i believe these cannot legally run the tyres they show in the pics.

so now picture it with 33's instead of those 37's in the pictures, they dont look anywhere near as imporessive :|

Thanks for the feedback guys, except mabsydney, toughen up matey.
The blizzard does look kinda wierd, the wheel base needs to be longer for that body. I'm interested in hearing from anyone who has done some serious 4x4ing in one, I'm sure Paul from rhinobuggies does do a great job, but it's a lot of $$'s for a relatively unproven body.
Apparently he's sold 92 of them, but I haven't seen or heard of any around. Someone out there must have one...

Hey mabsydney, that was a quality reply, must have taken ages for you to think up, thanks.

hoppy, please keep us posted of your build up. The chassis looks good, why did u go the leaf sprung narrow body version? What size tyres and rims are they? What was the freight costs to Geralton? I'm in Katherine, i guess it would be similar prices to get it here.

well actually 33's probably arent even legal on them. What size tyre did an MQ come with? 30" or 31"?
