Okay..the Daihatsu Applause has the same engine (HD-E 1.6L) as the Feroza, only difference is the cam.
So...the gearbox in an applause should mate up to a Feroza engine. If the applause was rear wheel drive, it would be perfect to set up a divorced xfer case using a short intermediate driveshaft...
Problem is, I think they are all front wheel drive. Now..never having looked under a frontwheel drive vehicle...how does the driveshaft come out of the gearbox?? Could it be adapted to go backwards to an xfercase?
If this was possible...could be a relatively easy solution to get lower xfercase gears??
