shit choice
no cause they are hopeless
I recon they would be a top swap, not as common ( as a transplant) as a v8 but cheap to buy, cheap to get power out of and relatively easy conversion. Then again you get ford starter and flywheel issues
Good luck, and Id be looking for a late modle 4 litre falcon engine to replace the 250 in the future, they rock power and fuel wise

and it doesnt use the ford starter its custom comes with the conversion kit
my kit is a crs (castlemain rodshop) fitted straight in
this will be ran on straight lpg anyway so fuel isnt a massive issue its always cheap on gas
ill post up some pics of the setup once ive got it in and running
Im here for the sausage!
you were always telling me to stay true to 2F but just go LPG......
and a mate has one in his CJ7, i dunno if its the gearing or what but it flies....
until it gets near water... as soon as it sees mud it dies...
but yeah you can bodge the electrics im sure.

Dizzy Pressurised with twin water/moisture filters on the air line that auto empty, one with regulator
Control Module, drivers side of the firewall and about as high as it can be mounted.
Everything else is just greased and sprayed
Just a few for pcman to think on as he fits the new hart to his 40

Actually my best swimming attempt was post electric ignition and pre pressurised dizzy (bonnet deep for 30 min)Hamo wrote:Ahh what's the matter you don't like when some one piont's out your wrong I'm just trying to clear this up for the people who might have belived this! Also it was not an electrical issue that finally stopped the truck on that occasion but the gas converter, which is now connected to the snorkel directly.
Hope that clarifies everything, I'll go crawl back under my 3rd Rock now

Hamo, i got no beef with being wrong.
but how does "crawl back under your rock" and "this is the blind leading the blind" prove i'm wrong . yes there are other water related issues other than the points (which i have already stated in this thread), but in my experience, if you deal with the points (i.e. elec dizzy, seal it whatever) you have very few issues, with water. i don't try to drive bass straight or anything, so i'm no expert.
and if people read one opinion and take it as gospel, they have more to worry about stopping mid river with a wet dizzy.
and do i know you?
