The spline on front axles on the vit are the same as sierra 1.3 wide track,
The hemisphere is of the two pin type on a vit front , To beef it up a little you would need to fit a four pin hemisphere from the front or rear of a 1.3 leafer, The hemisphere is the item the crown wheel bolts to.
If they sell the spools for the front of a sierra 1.3 leafer then you could slip one of these in the four pin hem and viola ,
Problems the vit does have relaibility problems with the ring pinion housing it is made of alloy and does disinagrate , Would be good to replace the thing with the cast iron housing from the seirra,
the problem with this thought is there is a bracket for some associated
control bar /what ever , So this would need attention as well.
Just a warning a spooled front is not fun .

I'm looking for a "minilocker" for the front of my Vitara that wont kill my alloy diff housing.
As no-one has experience in these in Vitara fronts I'm guessing I might have to be the first experiment/victim

Yeah the theory is sound - that front Vitara and Sierra stuff is interchangable, and I would probably look at replacing the diff housing when the time comes to look at the minispool/lockright, as it's recommended by just about everyone not to lock the front due to the "weakness" of the Vitara front diff centre.
A minispool at $99 US is a heap cheaper than a lockright, so i thought it might be worth a try.....
First thing I need to find how to put 32"s on my Vitara first I think. Ground clearance is still more of an issue than needing both front a rear lockers at this stage.
