prado front end in a hilux

hi, im thinking of buying a hilux and putting a prado front end in it, this being soild axel and coil i thought it would be the better than leaf springs

has anyone done this already or should i stay away from the prado front end and jst put a hilux leaf sprung front it ??

Are you talking about the import prado?? Well import for us in oz. Don't know how common they are in nz, but there are not many over here.

Leaves are straight forward an has been done over and over. There is heaps of tech for it out there.

nah theres loads over here, just a matter of finding out if they match , then i'd have a fully coiled hilux haha :twisted:

The Prado in Oz is a independant front end, in some other countries the Landcruiser Mark 2 [not imported into OZ] in great numbers, is also called a Prado. Its like a Oz troopcarrier with coil springs front and rear, with solid axles front and rear, also available in 4door versions.

yeh thats the version, wonder why you guys dont get it ?? take from the lack of repiles not many people have done it or seen it done before then ??

Ask the same question but say Bundera or LJ front end, instead of prado! Same gear i think. My understanding is that this is the axle of choice for solid coil conversoins on all manner of medium sized fourbies!

Or contact Cheezy - i think he's done at least one 4runner!
