I apoligise now if what i am about to describe is not a true 4 link.
Two lower arms and one upper A arm with the top of the A at the diff end.
My question is with the connection to the A arm and diff there is usually a bronze bushed sleave to allow rotational movement, would it be possible to use a trailer bearing setup?(as per swingaway carriers) Would the tapered roller bearings handle the potential hammering?

it would be bulky but i see no reason why it wouldn't work. That said the bronze bush idea is much much stronger and more reliable. If you are looking for an alternative look into hyme joints.

do u mean a treg offroad trailer hitch. This is very common in low budget cars. Does the job but i would prefer a dedicated joint. Like the one from cheezy racing.

Yeah i spose if the bearings failed you could lose the lot.

We use custom 360 Swivel joints or 1-1/4in Endura Chromoly Rodends. What ever you choose ensure it can handle the load.
