5AM MAF Help.

Post by Rovernaut »

With the 5AM MAF, hotwire airflow meter.
Are there sensing wires in the main body?
Looking inside the main air tunnel there is a smaller tunnel leading away of the mail on the side.
Just curious, as mine has no visible wires.
( I once looked into another hot wire Maf of a differnet model car and saw 2 platinum wires in the middle of the main air tunnel.)

they are in the little passageway off to the side, The fact that they don't get the full airflow is not important, the calibration to the ECU is what counts, of the airflow it DOES get - get it?

The reason you cannot see em is they are DIRTY.
Spray some no residue electronic cleaner in there and Voila , all will be revealed.
