Guys there is a busy bee happening on the march long weekend up at Toodjay if you can make it for a day or more please come along and lend your time to support the compation.

Duncan I will be going up Friday night and we will be fencing and hopefuly putting access rd and culverts if any have availability to bobcat with rake and or mini excavator would be very helpful chainsaws shovels and gloves. for handling wire and we will be camping I don't think that I need to meet them until they reach the gate unless they don't know the way and will not be allowed camp fires due to total fire ban and I will be on uhf channel 10 or mobile regards Alan.

Alans mobile number is 0429171059

He needs to no who is going so he can let the land owner no and organise insurance through the assosicationso please either ring him or leave your name on the web so that with a couple of weeks to go we can let him no numbers

I just checked out the site....can't see no info on scutineering dates, emailed Allan....anyone else having this trouble?? :?
So if the events aren't timed...due to insurance costs....and say half dozen people get through course....how do they score/judge who wins :?: :?: I'm asking this since I've been to many Eastern States events and yes you get pinged for winching penalties, going off course, wheel spin etc etc so can see how a scoring system can be made up...but I have also seen people go straight through cleanly- winching or not (depending on event) .....so how are they going to separate those vehicles :?:

Someone turn on the light   :!:

Anyone know what the prizes are...not that it really matters cause OBC prizes are VERY average...it's all about just winning I guess......

Im in for all the comps and also are Steve and Bevan tj on 35s twin locked with ratios very capable car also Jeff with Mick in a landie 110 twin locked dont no what ratios on i believe 35s another very good driver both guys are doing all the comps and dont have a worry about giving anything a go.

Wondering after the winch comp is over if anyone bar myself wants to give Evolution gorge a run we will be winching it in the comp but we almost made it last time up at the property very different car now with chopped tyres front winch and better steering possible pannel damage to get inot the gorge then very steep climb with 4 ledges lots of fun bananaded a drive shaft last time was Truckline crap cant wait who else is competing?

Talking to Russ at OL in Balcatta & not to many cars turned up
for scrutenering.....

Are most people going to leave it to the last minute as usual??????
makes it harder for the organizers!!!!!!

Can't make the working bee either as I just got back from
Melbourne... Went to the 4x4 field day while I was there
wish we had something like that here, it was great heaps of
modded cars & after market stuff.. Like a kid in a lollie shop!!!!

its bevan, we we made it back

we didnt see the winch course, but talked to tuls who set the course otu said it will b off the hook (amazing).

also improved red course at the top off the ridge with logs and deep hole that will swallow a suzi!!! very hot and dusty, using a front end loader and a bulldozer to clear out new campign area.

look forward to seeing ya all up there in 4 weeks.

Has anyone got an answer to the question as to how the winch trial is scored? I can't see anywhere on the NightOwl site where this is mentioned?
