Which gearbox to use...?

Post by beaver700 »

Gday fellas,

Another question, this time about gearboxes. The gearbox in my sierra is on its way out  ... so I was wondering if I could find some sort of replacement.... What I was after is another suzuki gearbox which would require the least amount of effort and mod to put in. I realise there will be some.
Has anyone gone about putting a different gearbox in their sierra. If yes, what sort?

I know I am asking alot of questions, I just want to get the best of my little zook!

Cheers

As przooker said, I am putting a gti swift engine in as well, so what gearboxes would match this conversion?

Cheers

I know its vague but you can put almost any gearbox you want in it with the right bellhousing adapter.

i suggest that as well as searching for gearboxes you also double check if they require an adaptor, what sort and if you can buy it ready made otherwise you might end up being quoted $10-$15k for an adaptor to be specailly made for you. i would call graeme at suzi sport or one of the guys off this board like mud4b to see what conversions that they have done. also here is a site http://home.iprimus.com.au/pulsr/g13b/ i believe one of the guys on here know him. good luck i hope the link helps you.
