basically the sway bar ties the suspension to the chassis, so it limits body roll on corners, but a downside is loss of wheel travel cos its trying to drag the chassis with it.
i say take it off and go for a hammer round the suburbs and see how it goes!
I've got a sierra and the first mod i did was take off the sway bar! Didn't make much difference around town but in the bush it made a huge difference.

prolly will but only cause of the increased angle on the axle at a higher articulation, judging by what sort of off road work i would imagine you get up to...i doubt you will crack a cv
