Sway bar.

Do all Vits have sway bars?
Or just the LWB models?

Do I need to remove them for offroad?
What exactly it's for?

and no you don't NEED to remove it, it is recomended to help with travel.

basically the sway bar ties the suspension to the chassis, so it limits body roll on corners, but a downside is loss of wheel travel cos its trying to drag the chassis with it.

i say take it off and go for a hammer round the suburbs and see how it goes!

I've got a sierra and the first mod i did was take off the sway bar! Didn't make much difference around town but in the bush it made a huge difference.

Exactly, take it off and see how it goes around town, if its good then leave it off and it will give you lots more potential offroad.

As suzukiboy says, the swaybar in a zook doesnt do a lot, i barely noticed it gone either.

I might just leave it on as I wouldn't be offroad so often.

prolly will but only cause of the increased angle on the axle at a higher articulation, judging by what sort of off road work i would imagine you get up to...i doubt you will crack a cv
