OK, mounted the Snake Arms, mounted the IFS steering box..... all looks good
What do I do with the steering column now its 80mm too short :(
Also has anyone machined down the Snake Arms and used a standard lux tie rod ?? don't see the need for a monster rod since its tucked away above the springs ??
You could use the stock tie-rods as they are the same taper.
I used the steering shaft from a later model hilux(90'on) and cut it down to size at the rubber joint end and then welded it back up. It is just like the factory one now. The later model ones go right through the firewall.

Will fit it up and take some pics
What model??
Is the spline the same as the 4runner/Hilux steering staft??
Part of the reason tie rods bend is the force exerted on them as one tire tries to turn in (because of a rock pushing on it) while the other stays straight. You don't need to bash the rod on a rock to bend it. Try pushing straight in on both ends of a straw with your fingers. It will bow.
