turbo mods

Post by mopar rangie »

has anyone played with a turbo on a td5.from what i read people upgrade chips, coolers and exhausts.doing this seems to move the power up the rev range a bit.by changing the turbine wheel or the compresser or both you could get the turbo to work better at lower speeds.then tune the ecu to suit this. the loss of top end power should be small but the bottom end power and turbo spool up would over shadow any loss up top. if i had the coin it would be good to look into.

Does chipping lose power in the lower revs? I have an auto so cant comment under about 1900rpm or so, but it pulls hard everywhere in my case.
