hilux - drum to disk ???

Post by NISMOgemini »

Is there any bolt on parts or simple way to convert a hilux drum diff(rear) to disk? From another vehicle or the likes?

Cheers

Simple, easy bolt on brakes, no.

Brackets to make it easier, yes.

blurb...

This new innovation of brake disc can be set up for most models of jap ute ( 4x4, 4x2 ).

Easily to set up and install, eliminate your risk and increase your driving confidence with new Rear Brake Disc.

Will help with Heat Dissipation, Water and Dust Repellence, Self-Cleaning of disc brake pads.

should be fine, after all a disk conversion that is making the car safer can always be a good thing.

We we aproached for the exclusive and will be checking thm out better when they arive next week. depending on what disks are like we may end up offering a DBA rotored option

will be able to confirm tommorow with the supplier, they got them out to suit the 05 lux allready as well and I beleive they should all be pretty much the same price and the indications seem to point to them being extremely competitive

Why?? then you would need to change the front, these suit the standard wheels. can certaily do a DBA rotor in a slotted 4000 or something with a different stud pattern but the cost would hardly be worth it IMO

cost 2moz

Legalities will be confirmed next week when I have the first few sets on my door and get the engineer to have a look over them
