Temp issues
I recently had my 2LT rebuilt and since the rebuild I have been having some trouble at higher speeds with the temperature increasing. It only happens when I go over 80km/h to 100km/h or go up a large hill. Is this a problem with my thermostat or something else

I have found that as soon as the temp starts rising the best plan of action is to get the radiator flushed, thurmo fan checked, water flow in the block should also be checked. The above will cost ya around the 400 mark and should be done by a machanic. The only thing that should be attempted by yourself is to replace the thermstat. If you dont take this problem seriously it might end up costing you either a new mtr or head which is big bucks. I HAVE LEARNT THE HARD WAY.

Use your stock cooling system. just recently bought a 40 and it boiled a couple of time in the bush with a huge thermo fan bolted to the rad. put stock fan and shroud on and never gotten anywhere near hot. they don't overheat from the factory and you can't notice the power a engine fan uses anyway. stock setup is the way to go:)
