Mate, any pics of the split rims close up?

How did you fit the 75 diff to the 40 frame? Did you move the spring perches?

sorry mate if i give out pictures of the split rims to u everyone will want some :roll: and the spring perches have been changed alltough im not sure how much they have been moved i will try and do sme measuring for u

No the old girl is still in hundreds of litle containers and waiting for the trip to the sandblastrers.

I really hope to get her put together this year or the miss will have my balls. ( striped mid last year )

Doing the paperwork for the MVR to aprove any mod's it might come accross on it's restoration so shouldn't have any problems getting it registerd again.


I really miss driving it though.

It's not the split rims I really wanted to see, it's how the 35" or the 36" tyres fit such a narrow rim :D

id mainly say rust would be the biggest issue not so much panels because theyres heaps of fibreglass panels for them now but more so in the chassis all mechanicals on them are relatively cheap too i think the main differences are if u get a bj or fj a few things are different in them such as dash, later model 40s had different transfer cases too
