So i've been a little busy. Not a whole lot done.

The Old front diff is now out, new cross over arm done and front hilux diff temporarly sitting in place.

Have used a set of OLD rear springs in the front, i think they need to be a little flatter. They're 35" Baja Claws for scale and the car is not fitted with a body lift. :shock:

my front sits waaaayy lower than that on SPOA MQ's and 38's :shock:

all i have is RUF and SR in the front too

OK, worked out how to lower it somewhat.

Flatter springs (have spares) this should do 2 inches approx

Normal shackles (not the whacky shackles presently fitted) 3/4 inch

Trim down spring pads on diff (they're quite tall) another inch

So 3 3/4 inches down it will go. The question now remains, WHY THE F^RK would someone lift a sierra more than 3 inches total to run 35's :?: This SPOA thing is whack :!:

The I'm going to keep it simple and easy idea didn't last long :rofl:

Height now revised as is the wheelbase. I think i migt need to move the headlights. :lol:

Theoretyically the rear diff should be in as well. I just couldn't get the diff around the back of the hoist and "someone" borrowed the wheels and tyres off the zook diffs so i couldn't turn the car around.

Oh well, it will go in this week.

84 model hardtop, 86in wb, 36 iroks, locked front and rear, lux diffs, exo, power steer, fuel injected 4k corolla 1.3,auto transmission ,2in wheel spacers,3/4 elliptic rear

the front diff is about 5 1/2 inches forward at the moment. The rear will go back an inch for now.

After i smash a panel or two it will be cut and extended more in the rear.

coming along nicely.
Just wondering if you are running the sierra steering box and if so how is it connected to the steer hubs, as the drag link is behind the axle on hilux diffs (on mine anyway). Is it as simple as turning the pitman arm around or is it more involved :?:

Have you changed your mind on tyre size? Because you originally said you wanna run 31's. Thats plenty of lift & clearance for a set of 31's. :shock:

The drag link is in front of the diff as i'm running a double arm. I'll get one made with sierra one end and 80 series cruiser the other end (diff).

Re the tyres, i'll be running somewhere in the 33-35 range now. Will however have to work out what gearing to run. Thinking maybe the series 4's.

The project will now be paused as i have to get the Hilux ready for the weekend. So no more work on the Zook until Monday.

OK, so i've been busy and have hardly touched the zook.

Rear spring perches ready to weld on, if i get a chance i may just do that tonight. Then brake lines, driveshafts, tierod, drag link and its drivable again.

Then its cage time, i'm thinking it may be easier to fab the cage if it doesn't have a roof :?:

hey james i found some novelty plates under the house ya can have. They are red with black letters. it says JAFFA
1999 SQ625 Manual Grand Vitara. Lifted, Twin Locked, 31' Extremes, dual Batteries, Winch.
Lots of custom gear as I cant afford the proper stuff.
