oil pressure on 4BD1T? in psi

Post by def90 »

just wondering if anyone knows what pressure a 4BD1 Turbo (if thats makes much difference) should run in PSI?

mine runs 60psi then can drop down to 45 if going slow and off the gas.

i was told they should be up around 100 PSI!

is this correct?

unless i have a faulty gauge?

Mine drops as low as 20 when at idle, about 80 when driving.

cheers maggot, as i am far from mechanically minded, do you think 60psi is 'below normal'? 20 psi seems a fair difference...

I would of thought 60-80 was about the norm. You don't have as much variance as me, but I run my idle fairly low.

Try asking here they may know more

For what it's worth, my Isuzu 4BE1 NA runs 70 PSI on the highway
