I was in my local wreckers today and found a 83 Datsun 280C with fuel injection. Ive done a little bit of searching on the web and found that it is also known as the Nissan Cedric, and has a L28E. Now what i was wondering is if the fuel injection would bolt onto my L28 in my MK?
Thanks for any help.

Datsun 280C fuel injection on a MK?
The L28E has a port shape with injector cutouts. I havent actually checked any L28 Carby MK's underneath the manifold to see if they have the same notches to fit the injectors but I would assume so.
I had an L24 head which had those same cutaways too and I scored a free manifold but never got around to fitting it in the Z.
You can transplant the EFI, or you could transplant the whole EFI engine instead, depending on cost. This may be an easier option, although I believe you need to use the Patrol oil sump and oil pickup.
Remember the 280C or 280ZX engine is rated for much more power than the Patrol L28 - the 280ZX one was 185hp and the Patrol one was 120hp.
Remember you need a whole bunch of stuff like airflow sensors and stuff as well - you often pay a lot more for them than you do for the injection manifold and injectors.
This is why JAP import EFI engines are much much much cheaper than halfcuts.
