Cracked Bell House

Post by Ippie »

Can anyone help to tell me what exactly this part calls?
Bell House of the front diff?

Do I need to replace the whole diff?
Or just the housing and may be the gear...

I don't know how to check the inside of it as I'm as good as you guys.

Umm, it happened yesterday......

You may get away with just a new housing if you haven't damaged the ring & pinion. How did you do it? Too much right foot in reverse is a common cause. If you can find a steel housing from a manual V6 Grand Vitara (or a late '03 and on Auto V6 but make sure it is steel and not alloy) you shouldn't have any more problems again. You can also use a housing from the XL-7 but the crossmember mount is different so you would need to do a little fabricating to make it work.

Thx guys.
Hope I only need to steel housing and didn't damage the other parts...

Anywhere I can get the steel housing from?

Well, I was struggling to climb up from the bottom of a little vally.
The right front wheel was lifted in the air.
Since I don't have the air lock...
The wheel was spinning in the air then hit the ground.
So it stopped suddenly.
That's how it caused the problem I think...
I didn't know what exactly went wrong...

That'll do it.

Try a Wrecker. Failing that Suzuki spare parts can get them.

Umm, I don't have many wreakers in my area....
I'm thinking to get one from other places.
That's why I need to know what this part calls and any other models would fit to my 96 vit.....
